How to Void a Document

If there is an error in the document you sent, such as an inadvertent omission of essential information, or if you simply no longer wish it to be signed, then you are allowed to void it to halt the signing process before all signing parties involved complete your document. Keep reading to find out how to void a document in CocoSign and make sure it's done right.

Step 1: Find the file you want to void in the Documents list.
Note: Before revoking a document, make sure it’s still not completed

Alternatively, you can access all the “In Progress” documents by clicking Waiting for others, which allows you to access your file more quickly.

Or just simply enter the document name in the search bar.

Step 2: Click More and choose Void.

Step 3: Enter the reasons why you are voiding the document. Once done, click Void. And the document’s status will be changed to Voided successfully.

Note: Recipients who have signed it will get an email notification that you have void the document and the reason for it. Those who have not signed yet will not be able to access and view it anymore.

It only takes a second to revoke a signature request. Follow the same steps above to void a document with CocoSign!
